Grosvenor Casino Reopens After £3.4 Million Refurbishment

UK’s Grosvenor Casino reopened earlier this week after completing a £3.4 million renovation project that has resulted in the extensive upgrade of its interiors as well as an expansion of its gaming floor.

Located in Nottingham, the casino has undergone renovations previously as well but this is the largest and the most complete renovation according to General Manager Daren Brain.

Under the refurbishment plan, the casino has introduced several new gaming tables including roulette and blackjack tables and has also enhanced the slots area by adding new types of slot machines.

A wide range of entertainment facilities have been introduced such as a special sports lounge with a 100-inch TV set, an improved VIP area as well as a new contemporary-styled bar.

Also introduced for the first time are two VIP gaming machines that can be controlled via feet.

A sun terrace with TVs has also been created where guests will be able to relax during summer. Dining facilities have been boosted and now spans both casual and formal dining. The casino is planning on improving its entertainment offerings with monthly live entertainment events such as a comedy night. The key aim of the renovation exercise was to make the casino more customer-friendly and ensure better use of the available space for leisure and gaming activities.

Commenting on the results of the restoration project, Brain said that the team was very happy with the final outcome highlighting that the new facilities across gaming and entertainment would now ensure that there is something for everyone.

In a statement, Malcom Beattie, the company’s regional manager said

You can find something different from what's available in the rest of the city! In terms of traditional gaming you can play roulette, blackjack, traditional poker and umpteen slot machines. The casino used to be just about gaming but we've made the building 25 percent bigger and most of that went on the bar and restaurant

Brain also announced that there would a two-week celebratory schedule that would contain a variety of special events. The official launch party held last week included a show by the winners of a local talent show, the singer Lady Rose and the Cossack Dancers.

Guests were also able to enjoy music from a local band known as the ‘The Shakes’ along with a talented violinist. There were also flash mobs that appeared through the foyer and bar area, providing a thrilling experience for patrons.
