Saipan’s Imperial Pacific Casino Brings In $1.6 Billion In November 2015
Imperial Pacific International Holdings Ltd, a Hong Kong based company which committed to building the Best Sunshine Casino, a $7 billion mega-casino resort on the Saipan Island which is a part of the Northern Mariana Islands recently confirmed that its temporary casino project has been responsible for generating $1.6 billion during November 2015.
Imperial Pacific had applied for a temporary casino license earlier this year on the basis of setting up a temporary casino to provide training to its staff and wanted a real time scenario to make the training effective. The temporary casino license was approved and the casino opened with a soft launch on the 26th of July and initially had just 10 gaming tables. Best Sunshine’s temporary casino has now set up 106 electronic gaming machines, 45 gaming tables and hired around 600 employees to go through a training program and service real time customers.
Best Sunshine confirmed that the $1.6 billion generated came from its VIP market segment and also stated that those numbers were yet to be audited. The casino plans to release unaudited earnings from its VIP clientele on the 2nd of every month. Imperial Pacific recently appointed Yiu Ling Kwong as its COO and his immediately responsibilities will be supervising the temporary casino facility and ensuring that entire project which will be rolled out in 5 phases will be completed as per the agreed deadlines.
The Best Sunshine casino resort is expected to have a total of 4,252 hotel rooms, 300 exotic villas and more than 1,600 gaming tables. The first phase of this project is the Grand Mariana Casino & Hotel Resort which is expected to be completed before the end of 2016.
The new COO Ling Kwong has extensive experience in Macau’s gaming industry and will rely on his contacts to help set up a strong VIP market segment by working with junket operators.
The casino has confirmed that it will collaborate with junket operators from December 2015 and expects to see more VIP gamblers from Mainland China making their way to Saipan.
The temporary casino is currently attracting close to 6,000 visitors per day and those numbers are expected to rise as more phases of the project get completed.
The Northern Mariana Islands are a part of the commonwealth of the United States and the Best Sunshine Casino is expected to attract a majority of gamblers from Asia, especially Mainland China who have shown a preference to gamble at American casinos.
