Governor of California Opens The New Bicycle Hotel & Casino
The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is an 117,907 square-foot, 7 story luxury hotel which is an addition to the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, CA and is scheduled to open to the public on the 1st of December 2015. There was a ribbon cutting ceremony that was carried out by California Governor Jerry Brown and a number of senior executives were also present for the ceremony.
Some of the other officials in attendance included Mayor Jennifer Rodriguez – City of Bell Gardens, Cristina Garcia – Assemblymember, Managing General Partner & CEO Hashem Minaiy and Robert H. Carter – President of Carter Management Group, Inc who are general partners with the Bicycle Hotel & Casino.
The management decided to bypass the traditional ribbon cutting ceremony and try something out of the ordinary. There was a brigade of tuxedo dressed drivers coming in on motorcycles with models who were dressed in sequin gowns holding large playing cards with the word ‘Bicycle’. The ceremony was led by the Bell Gardens Honor Guard before handing it over to the governor to do the honors and cut the ribbon.

Hashem and I set out to not only build a beautiful hotel for our guests, but a great property that can be shared with and enjoyed by everyone in the community. Having the Governor, city officials and all of our guests here to see the hotel for the first time made this a most memorable day.
The total cost of this new addition is estimated to be around $50 million.
The architect for the project was Lee & Sakahara Architects while the interiors were completed by Hager Design International Inc. The hotel will comprise of 99 special rooms and suites and feature a number of amenities including a high end spa and private cabanas overlooking an outdoor pool. The Bike Brewery will serve customers with a wide range of drinks and dining options.
The gaming floor has a lovely oriental theme to it and will consist of 185 tables that provide patrons access to some of the most popular casinos games. Since the hotel is located just 10 miles away from downtown Los Angeles it’s expected to bring draw in a steady stream of customers who will have the option of staying overnight if they want at any of the 29 luxury suites or VIP rooms.
