Ladbrokes partners with Playtech to release Live Dealer games
Ladbrokes, an internet betting firm has entered into a partnership with Playtech, a leading company in the online gaming industry. They produce high technology software for the online casino games.
As per the agreement between Ladbrokes and Playtech, products from Ladbrokes will be moved under Playtech’s platform just before the 2014 FIFA World Cup begins. Ladbrokes had switched from Microgaming, now known as MPN in December 2013. The process of shifting and migration of the operations in the back office is happening currently.
Mr. Jim Mullen, Ladbroke’s Digital managing director commented on the live dealer games. He said that this partnership allows Playtech’s customers to experience the games under Ladbrokes.
The live dealer games will be launched after the Vegas tab containing casino games will be delivered in July. The Mobenga mobile app and sports betting app is scheduled for December and Playtech is also launching a poker app before Christmas.
Ladbroke’s customers are going to be thrilled as they can enjoy the games through Playtech live casino now. About six live dealer tables featuring baccarat, Hold’em and blackjack will be launched at the beginning. As the games consist of amazing visual and sound effects, it is sure to draw attention from many players across the world. Players can also use iPads to play the live casino games.
After the financial figures were released, it appears that Ladbrokes had taken a hit. With a reduction of about 28% in the profits, it was apparent that they were suffering financially.
Speculations are rife with trade analysts stating that this looks like a last attempt from Ladbrokes to retain their financial position. However, analysts speculate that Playtech can take over Ladbrokes at any point of time in the future.
