Ocean Resort Casino Plans To Offer Online Gambling Via GAN

The soon-to-open Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey recently announced that they have signed a multi-year agreement with British gambling technology company GameAccount Network (GAN) to offer online gambling services on its premises once it opens to the public.

The upcoming Ocean Resort Casino is being developed at the site of the former Revel casino. The new casino has already applied for a gaming license to conduct online gambling operations in New Jersey. If the application is approved by state gambling regulators, they will be part of the existing five casinos in Atlantic City to offer online gambling.

To make their online gambling plans a reality, Ocean Resort decided to partner with GAN to gain immediate access to an already licensed and vetted platform in New Jersey as GAN has already set up shop in the state. Betfair Casino, one of three brands currently operating under the Golden Nugget AC internet gaming license already uses GAN’s services.

In a statement, GAN said

AC Ocean Walk LLC is the newly-announced owner-operator of Ocean Resort Casino for the launch of a real money regulated gaming online experience offering internet casino gaming together with internet sports betting integrated with the on-property rewards program in reliance on GAN’s Patent

Besides New Jersey, GAN has established its presence in America and has provided the play money software to the Parx Casino in Pennsylvania. The casino is also gearing up to offer its patrons a real-money platform this year once the online gambling rules and regulations are ironed out in Pennsylvania.

Ocean Resort has plans to not only launch online casino games but also enter the sports betting market as it optimistic that New Jersey will win its case against overturning the PASPA law which bans sports betting.

Earlier this month, Colorado developer Bruce Deifik, who purchased the former Revel for $200 million, vowed to bring a “state of the art sports book” to Atlantic City as soon as the case is won. Partnering with GAN will make it easier for Ocean Resort to go through the process of adding sports betting into its online gaming portfolio, once it is made legal in the state. GAN recently partnered with SBTECH, a leading B2B provider of sports wagering technology in Europe and implementing its sports betting software for Ocean Resort should be done in a short period of time.
