Online Gambling In Delaware Hits $3,8 million
With online gaming having been brought into US states, New Jersey has been getting most of the attention since its launch in November and now offers a dozen of online gaming sites. The state has shown some impressive figures since the start of its launch and in its first week, it has received over 51,000 accounts created by users from all over the state.
However, Delaware has also been showing some great figures since its start and statistics have shown that the state has received bets amounting to $3,8 million in November. Delaware was the first state to offer a wide variety of online casino games before New Jersey did. The State of Delaware has three land based casinos – Dover Downs, Harrington Raceway, and Delaware Park and also having three operators in charge of the online gaming. All these three operators have their software powered by 888.
This revenue has been generated by 2,800 registered users at these sites, although the figures are not much compared to registered users in New Jersey, they have shown a good start in Delaware. Out of the three states that were legalized for online gaming, Delaware is the only state with a low population of less than one million residents. But comparing the population with New Jersey, Delaware has received a large amount of bets from just a few users and these stats are yet to increase in the coming months.
The Director – Vernon Kirk of State Lottery said that everything seems to be going well and player traffic is increasing gradually every day. The market is growing and having low player pool in Delaware, poker has become the best of choice so far.
